What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Comments and other content submitted to Akismet’s anti-spam service are not saved on our servers unless they were marked as false positives, in which case we store them long enough to use them to improve the service to avoid future false positives.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Email information

If you correspond with us through email, we may retain your email address, the content of your message as well as our response to you. We will protect this information the same way we protect our other information. We do not sell, rent our lease our subscriber lists.

The email we send out will comply with CAN-SPAM Act and include information on who the email is from, how you can contact the sender, and how you can remove your name from our subscriber list. The bottom of each email includes unsubscribe instructions.

Using cookie and usage data, Google tracks and examines the use of our website, prepares reports on our websites activities and shares this information with other Google Services. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile.
