What is one of your favorite quotes?
I LOVE quotes! I post them on my Facebook page all the time. I hope that I’m posting something that will resonate with someone somewhere. You never know when someone needs encouragement. Recently, I posted this quote from Winnie the Pooh. “What day is it?”, asked Winnie the Pooh. “It’s today,” squeaked Piglet. “My favorite day,” said Pooh.
Ann: I also love quotes. Once I start reading them I can’t stop!
What is your favorite TV show of all times and why?
I hate to think that I have to go back several decades to think of a TV show I liked. I rarely watch TV anymore. I loved The Dick Van Dyke Show. I’m really dating myself here. The characters were self-effacing and funny. But something about TV back then was that the stories had a beginning, a middle and an end. Now, the programs have twists and turns and few have resolutions. I think the writers are trying to imitate life, but I miss the old days when the program had an ending. And next week, the program had a new dilemma to solve.
Ann: I’m a TV-aholic. I probably have 40 timers set! It takes me forever to watch them because I don’t have a lot of “free” time.
Do you remember your first kiss? Care to elaborate?
My first kiss was the worst kiss of my life! How’s that for a memory? We were in his family’s barn. I’m not sure what exactly led to it, but then he kissed me. It totally ruined me for wanting anyone else to kiss me, but I knew my parents didn’t kiss that way. Needless to say, I left immediately and made sure I was never alone with him again. My second kiss must have been much better, so I guess I wasn’t scarred for life!
Ann: Every time someone chooses this question I think it will spark my memory and I’ll recall my first kiss. So far, no luck.
Do you sing in the shower or car? What type of music?
I sing all the time, and I’m grateful that my husband likes to hear me sing, because if he didn’t, that wouldn’t stop me. Unfortunately, if I hear a song, it sticks in my mind and I might sing that song for days!
Ann: I don’t sing much anymore. I used to sing in the car all the time, but my daughter (young at the time) would tell me to stop. She broke me from the habit.
What is the loveliest thing you have ever seen?
A new mother holding her baby. I have a video on my Facebook page of a new mother. She’s stroking the baby’s check. I’m not if the baby is a boy or a girl, but this baby is smiling. It’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen.
Ann: That would be in my top five.

Enjoyed the interview, Laura and Ann! I remember the first time my future husband and I kissed. Heard bells ring. No message from above, however…we were in the gardens a historic church in San Antonio.
It’s common knowledge I don’t remember my first kiss. However, your comment made me realize I also don’t recall the first time I kissed my husband! I have a kiss blockage!! Thanks for taking time to comment.
